This is the commitment of the Southwest Station, an initiative promoted by the Caja Badajoz Foundation and which has chosen to ring the bell with a sandwich of more than one kilometer. And in case there are doubts that the claim comes from Extremadura, between bread and bread there will be chorizo, specifically kilos and kilos of proof of Iberian pork.
The challenge of assembling a sandwich of more than a thousand meters will be on September 23 at the Paseo de San Francisco in Badajoz.
During this playful and demanding day, there will be food by the catering of Pedro Méndez, but also a show. The current director of the Caja Badajoz Foundation, Emilio Jiménez, explained that “the idea is that we spend a day together and if we can add good food to fun, even better”.
According to the poster promoting the event and already circulating in Badajoz, artists of all kinds have joined this event. There will be the murga ‘Esto está ganao’ (seconds in the last contest of the Pacense carnival), Newman Dj, Musicians Without Borders, Iberian Big Band and the Kingdom Aftasí institute will also participate. As master of ceremonies, he will exercise Candi2 Band. In addition, there will be magic shows with the Great Chiky, recently also known for his role as a teacher in the television program Pura Magia.
