The Ministry of Development has awarded the “Informative Study of the Madrid-Extremadura high-speed rail line project. Section: Madrid-Oropesa”, to the company Acciona Engineering S.A. for an amount of almost 590,000 euros.
As announced in the Public Sector Contracting Platform, the informative study will allow obtaining the Environmental Impact statement for the Madrid-Oropesa section of the Madrid-Extremadura high-speed line, proposing new route alternatives to those already analyzed in the study. 2008 newsletter.
The study is scheduled to be drawn up at the end of 2018 so that it can then be submitted to the public information and hearing procedures for administrations, provided for in current legislation, in order to ensure the necessary institutional and citizen consensus.
After this period of public information, which will be carried out for environmental and sectoral purposes, the new Environmental Impact Statement will be requested from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, a necessary step for the final approval of the study.
