Renfe has implemented a series of urgent measures to improve the reliability of the trains that serve Extremadura. A permanent working group will be created to monitor and comply with them.
Urgent measures:
- Revision of the engines and replacement of those with any anomaly.
- Replacement of train wiring.
- A new technical assistance post will be created in Badajoz with a pit for vehicle inspections.
- Delivery of a complete report on incidents registered throughout the year.
Renfe will study:
- Change of rolling stock.
- Creation of a workshop in Badajoz.
- Appointment of a Renfe interlocutor in Extremadura.
